This summer, in exchange for a place to stay, I had my brother paint my house. The living room and kitchen were slate gray, my office taxi cab yellow, and bedroom a very obnoxious pink.
Now that I’m leaving the landlord wants all the walls back to their original color, white. I’m trying to think positive. Painting burns calories. It’s a more fun than cleaning, but there are so many things I’d rather do with my last ten days in Austin than prime and paint.
Sunny just told me about some paint from Benjamin Moore called “Aura” that might as well be called “The Landlord Has No Taste.” Apparently it’s so thick that one coat of white will cover even black walls. It’s also $55/gallon.
Worth it?
